Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 5β10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Raleigh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place is special. Sitting here now for our twelve year anniversary. I guess it helps that I didnβt expect this place to be amazing. Came in at 5:30 so was quite empty. Then an hour later, itβs pretty packed. Not too loud, a very nice noise level to also enjoy your date. The food was very, very good. Get all the crudoβs. The seafood stew was so good, I even drank all the soup. I never do that. If youβre thinking about coming here, just come. You will be happy.

Wonderful place and food. Beautiful story of the main dish (Brodeto) from the coast of Italy by the Adriatic Sea. Every dish has been planned to the pinch. The food exemplifies the term (less is more) yet the fresh flavors complement each other perfectly. Including the wines recommended by our server. The decor is simple and clean. The noise level is just loud enough to not be bothered by the neighbors yet you can have a nice conversation. Highly recommended.

My husband and I celebrated our 7th marriage anniversary at Brodeto, and it ended up being the kind of experience we were hoping for. When I was searching for a restaurant, I wanted somewhere with a thoughtfully curated menu that felt unique, delicious and worthy of a special occasion. Brodeto checked all of those boxes for me. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional, and our server continued that level of hospitality throughout the evening. For dinner, I ordered the namesake Brodeto which is a seafood stew, and my husband ordered the Peka. Both dishes were delicious and beautiful. Also forgot to mention the delicious rosemary focaccia! Overall, Brodeto was a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend.

I have an amazing experience at Brodeto everytime. HUGE shout out to Tory the sweetest waitress ever. Everything we ordered was incredible, but I highly recommend the grilled octopus small plate: so soft and flavorful with the perfect smokiness and char. The pork chop was also outstanding: a huge portion that was juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly with a hint of smokiness from the wood fire. The salad was fresh and flavorful, and the potatoes are a must-order side: perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Shout out to Morgan -- an amazing waiter I had the first time coming to the restaurant. He was knowledgeable, professional, and had cool glasses. Shout out to Chef Pablo as well β you can really tell the care and experience behind every dish. Even the silverware and plates felt intentional and thoughtfully chosen. The atmosphere is bright without feeling overwhelming, and the restaurant definitely gets lively around 7 PM. One of those places where every detail feels carefully thought out. Could not recommend it here enough.

My son and I visited this restaurant on his birthday as part of his birthday celebration. My son had been there previously and wanted to go back for his birthday because he enjoyed it that much, so he made reservations for us to go. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our seat. We had a wonderful server, Felicity. She took great care of us and answered all of our questions. We ordered several things on the menu. Everything ordered was flavorful, had great texture, and was displayed well on the plate. The moistness and tenderness of each dish were definitely highlights. I wasnβt sure about the snapper crudo but decided to try it anyway. It was scrumptious! The Wood Roasted Oysters were good, and the Bordeto seafood meal was awesome; however, I felt it couldβve been a larger portion for that price. Our gelato desserts were very tasty and refreshing. My son loved the uniqueness of the Vanilla Bean Gelato with olive oil and sea salt. I thoroughly enjoyed my Strawberry Sorbetto. I can see why this restaurant received Michelin acknowledgment in 2025. Between the food, service, and ambience, it was an absolutely fabulous experience. Needless to say, my son enjoyed his birthday celebrat
